It's very helpfull to put all of the needed files in one folder. You may creatively name it "Pwnage 3.1" 2. First thing you want to do is restore your iPhone with iTunes with the 3.1.2 firmware. To do this, press and hold shift and at the same time click restore to open an explorer window. Find the 3.1.2 ipsw and restore. 3. Once restored you can close iTunes. Now start redsn0w. It's pretty straght forward, just follow the directions. SO: 4. Browse for (3.1.2) ipsw 5. Select your options. You'll want to tick "Install Cydia" and "Unlock". Using custom boot logos is up to you.
